How to get rid of the potassium in the water?

Answer from: Denis P.:

Potassium can be displaced by hydrogen or sodium on the cationite in water softening. Only then you will take calcium and magnesium out of the water completely, replacing them with sodium. You can also use reverse osmosis.
The maximum allowable concentration of potassium in drinking water is 20 mg:L.
