Where to read about the basics of psychoanalysis (not just Freud) in relatively clear language?

You wanted to dive down the wrong rabbit hole to make everything clear. I have an undergraduate degree in psychoanalysis and depth psychology. It's never simple and straightforward in that direction. It is divided into fragmented and rather contradictory schools (the schools themselves were created on the basis of one person's disagreement with another), in addition, it comes from the position of long-playing psychotherapy, which, if it solves any problem, takes from two to four years. And ideally, the most basic framework is for the individual to bring his unconscious into consciousness throughout his life, and the psychoanalyst with occasional questions helps him do this. In practice, proper academic psychoanalysis is the most boring thing in psychology.
